Scope
GB/T 34368-2017 is the English-translated version of 客运索道重大修理的技术要求.
GB/T 34368-2017 lays down the technical requirements for the major maintenance of passenger ropeways.
Clause 1 states that the standard specifies the general provisions for major repairs of passenger ropeways, the technical requirements for the repair of major components, qualifications and behaviour, and quality documents, and that it applies to passenger cableway major repairs.
The directory runs from clause 4, "General Provisions", through clause 5 on the technical requirements for repairing major components, which is split into "drive, circuitous device", "spreader", "bracket", "Torr cable wheel group", "holding device" and "common defects", then clause 6, "qualifications and behavior", divided into operating companies, repair unit and NDT, and clause 7, "quality documents", and closes with an informative Appendix A on common defects of the various components.
Clause 2 cites GB 12352 and GB 19402, with a third entry on ropeway supervision, inspection and periodic inspection rules printed without its number; the quoted-standards field of the page also lists TSG S7001-2013.
Clause 3 defines major maintenance as the activity of fully dismantling equipment, inspecting and maintaining it, carrying out non-destructive testing or replacing parts so that the main load-bearing components of a passenger ropeway are all safety-checked, without changing the main structure or the performance parameters of the ropeway, and it also defines inspection and disassembly.
Clause 4 requires non-destructive testing to be performed by suitably qualified personnel in accordance with TSG S7001-2013, GB 12352 and GB 19402, requires a disassembly plan and disassembly records with all dismantled parts effectively protected, leaves components the standard does not mention, such as electric control systems and wire ropes, to the manufacturer's technical requirements, and states that a ropeway should undergo its first major repair once cumulative running time reaches 40 000 h or 15 years.
The draft breaks off at that point, so clauses 5 to 7 are not shown. The people the standard speaks to are named in clause 6, which addresses operating companies, repair units and non-destructive testing.
The standard carries ICS 21.020 and Chinese classification J01, is kept by the National Cableway and Recreation Facilities Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC250), was issued on 29 September 2017 and has applied since 1 April 2018.
