Scope
GB/T 34029-2017 is the English-translated version of 锅炉炉膛检修升降平台.
GB/T 34029-2017 is the Chinese national standard for the boiler furnace maintenance elevating platform. It specifies the classification and model designation, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of the platform used to overhaul the inside of a boiler furnace.
The platform is suspended from rigs erected on the top of the boiler and is raised and lowered along the furnace wall under power; the furnace platform itself is fenced with guardrails on its perimeter and carries the operators, their tools and the materials needed for the repair.
The terms distinguish the suspension rigs, which form part of the equipment and from which the platform hangs, the working suspension rope, which carries the suspended load, and the safety or secondary rope, which is the backup wire rope.
Annex A gives the test record form for the maintenance platform. It applies to boiler furnace elevating maintenance platforms. It cites GB 5144-2006, GB/T 5972, GB/T 8918, GB/T 13306, GB/T 13384, GB/T 19155-2017, GB/T 21974 and GB/T 26557. It was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the boiler furnace lifting platform (hereinafter referred to as "maintenance platform") classification, type, technical requirements, test methods, seized Inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage.
