GB/T 33980-2017 is the English-translated version of 电工产品使用说明书中包含电气安全信息的导则.
GB/T 33980-2017 is the Chinese national guide to the electrical safety information that belongs in the instructions for use of an electrotechnical product.
It says what that information must contain: the installation and service environmental conditions, the safety conditions that are assumed, the limits of application, the man-machine factors, use of the product as specified, peripheral products and the control system, the structural design of the product, use and operation, maintenance and repair, recycling, and the safety warnings.
It takes the definition of instructions for use from GB/T 19678-2005 and the definitions of risk, residual risk and reasonably foreseeable misuse from GB/T 4776-2017, and it refers to the enclosure protection classes of GB/T 4208, the general rules for instructions of GB/T 9969-2008, the composition, content and presentation rules of GB/T 19678-2005 and the electrical safety signs of GB/T 29481-2013.
It applies to the preparation of the electrical safety information in a product instruction manual. Issued on 12 July 2017, it has applied since 1 February 2018.

Foreword
This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the contents of electrical safety information that should be specified when preparing the instructions for the use of electrical products (hereinafter referred to as the instructions) Requirements, including installation and use of environmental conditions, the expected conditions of security, application restrictions, man-machine factors, according to the provisions of the use of products, peripheral products Preparation and control system, product structure design, use and operation, maintenance and repair, recycling, safety warning and so on.
This standard applies to the preparation of electrical safety information in the instruction manual.
2 Normative reference documents
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the dated edition applies to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all modifications) applies to this document.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 (Use) instructions
The product manufacturer provides information on the safe and efficient use of the product. [GB/T 19678-2005, definition 3.6]
3.2 Risk of risk
A comprehensive measure of injury, including the probability of injury and the severity of the injury. [GB/T 4776-2017, definition 3.1.20]
3.3 Residual risk
The risk after the implementation of protective measures. [GB/T 4776-2017, definition 3.1.26]
3.4 Reasonable foreseeable misuse
The use of the product, process or service is not provided by the supplier, but this result is caused by an easily anticipated human activity. [GB/T 4776-2017, definition 3.1.31]
