Scope
GB/T 33951-2017 is the English-translated version of 精密仪器仪表和电讯器材用铜合金棒线.
GB/T 33951-2017 sets what copper alloy rod and wire for precision instruments and telecommunications equipment must be.
It fixes the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on marking, packaging, transport and storage, together with the quality certificate and the content of the purchase order or contract; grades, tempers and sizes are those of its Table 1.
It is a modified adoption of ISO 27874:2008. Grades and chemical composition follow GB/T 5231, with analysis by the GB/T 5121 series, by the photoelectric emission method of YS/T 482 or by wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence to YS/T 483, and sampling for physical and chemical testing to YS/T 668.
Tensile testing follows the room-temperature method for metallic materials, with YS/T 815 for the preparation of mechanical and technological test pieces and GB/T 10573 for fine wire; the resistance alloy properties are measured by GB/T 6146 for resistivity, GB/T 6147 for thermal electromotive force and GB/T 6148 for the temperature coefficient of resistance.
Ultrasonic inspection follows GB/T 3310, fracture examination YS/T 336, dimensional measurement GB/T 26303.2, sampling inspection GB/T 2828.1 and packaging GB/T 8888.
It applies to copper alloy rod and wire used in precision instruments and telecommunications equipment. Issued on 12 July 2017, it has applied since 1 February 2018.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the precision instrumentation and telecommunications equipment with copper alloy rod and wire requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, Transport, storage, quality certificate and purchase order (contract) content.
This standard applies to precision instrumentation and telecommunications equipment used copper alloy rod and wire (hereinafter referred to as rod and wire).
