Scope

GB/T 33872-2017 is the English-translated version of 太阳能资源观测站分类指南.

GB/T 33872-2017 is the Chinese national guide for classifying the stations that observe solar energy resources. It gives the classes of station, the elements each class observes, guidance on the instruments used for them and the requirements the site of such a station has to meet.

It takes its terms from GB/T 31163-2014 and repeats the ones it needs: the solar energy resource that can be turned into heat, electricity or chemical energy for human use, diffuse radiation, direct radiation, ultraviolet radiation and photosynthetically active radiation.

Ultraviolet radiation is placed between 100 nm and 400 nm and split into the UV-A, UV-B and UV-C bands, while photosynthetically active radiation is the band generally taken as 400 nm to 700 nm. It was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.

Foreword

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard gives the classification of solar energy stations and the observation elements of each type of stations and the guidance of the instrument.

This standard applies to solar energy observation.

2 Normative reference documents

The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the dated edition applies to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all modifications) applies to this document.

3 Terms and definitions

The following definitions and definitions as defined in GB/T 31163-2014 apply to this document.

3.1 Solar resources

Can be converted into heat, electricity, chemical energy for human use of solar energy. [GB/T 31163-2014, definition 2.2]

3.2 Scattered radiation

Solar radiation is dispersed by air molecules, clouds and air particles into non-directional, but does not change its monochromatic composition of radiation. [GB/T 31163-2014, definition 5.14]

3.3 Direct radiation

From the surface and its surrounding a small solid angle emitted within the radiation. [GB/T 31163-2014, definition 5.11]

3.4 Ultraviolet radiation

Wavelengths less than visible radiation and greater than the radiation of electromagnetic radiation.

Note: UV radiation between 100nm and 400nm can be subdivided into three bands. UV-A (315nm ~ 400nm), UV-B (280nm ~ 315 nm), UV-C (100 nm to 280 nm). [GB/T 31163-2014, definition 5.5]

3.5 Photosynthetically active radiation

The solar radiation spectrum can be absorbed, transformed and used to synthesize the radiant energy of a certain band of organic matter by the green plant's plastid pigment.

Note: generally 400nm ~ 700nm solar radiation known as photosynthetically active radiation. [GB/T 31163-2014, definition 5.8]
