Scope

GB/T 33767.14-2023 is the English-translated version of 信息技术 生物特征样本质量 第14部分:DNA数据.

GB/T 33767.14-2023 is Part 14 of GB/T 33767 and deals with the quality of the DNA data used in biometric recognition. It names the three types of DNA data produced by high-throughput sequencing - sequencing data, alignment data and typing data - and sets the quality requirements for them under accuracy, completeness and traceability.

It then gives the test methods for each of those three, together with the quality testing tool. It defines high-throughput sequencing, DNA typing, data quality, DNA data and nucleic acid sequence, and cites GB/T 35890-2018 and YY/T 1723-2020.

It applies to DNA data generated by high-throughput sequencing in biometric identification. It was issued on 17 March 2023 and has applied since 1 October 2023.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 High-throughput sequencing

Different from traditional Sanger (dideoxy) sequencing, it is a technology capable of parallel sequence determination of a large number of nucleic acid molecules at one time.

Note: Generally, a sequencing reaction can produce no less than 100Mb of sequencing data. [Source: GB/T 30989-2014, 3.19, modified]

3.2 DNA typing

Use biological detection methods to determine the individual DNA sequence and compare it with the reference DNA sequence to determine the individual's genes type process.

3.3 Data quality

The degree to which the characteristics of data satisfy explicit and implied requirements when used under specified conditions. [Source: GB/T 36344-2018, 2.3]

3.4 DNA data

Raw data obtained after high-throughput sequencing, comparison data during information analysis, and DNA typing data.

3.5 Nucleic acid sequence

The primary structure of nucleic acid, using a string of letters to represent the primary structure of DNA molecules carrying genetic information.
