Scope
GB/T 33730-2017 is the English-translated version of 发制品 静电性能的评定.
GB/T 33730-2017 measures and rates the electrostatic behaviour of hair products by the static voltage half-life method.
The sample is charged in a high-voltage electrostatic field until the voltage is stable, the supply is then disconnected and the voltage is left to decay through the earthed metal table, and both the static voltage and the time it takes to fall to half its initial value are recorded.
The standard describes the detection device - sample table, high-voltage discharge electrode, electrostatic detection electrode and recording device - with the dimensions of the sensing electrode and the discharge needle distances.
Clause 3 defines color hair, static voltage and static half-life. It applies to hair products made of untreated or processed hair and cites GB/T 3291.3 and GB/T 23166. Issued on 12 May 2017, it has applied since 1 December 2017.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the use of static voltage half-life method for the detection of the electrostatic properties of products and assessment.
This standard applies to unprocessed or processed hair products made of hair color.

3 Terms and definitions
GB/T 3291.3 and GB/T 23166 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Color hair
Processed to make hair to form a different color of human hair or human hair.
3.2 Static voltage
The sample is subjected to some external force, and the relatively stable charge generated on it is generated for the ground potential.
3.3 Static half-life
The time required for the sample electrostatic voltage to decay to half the initial value.
4 Principle
