Scope

GB/T 33608-2017 is the English-translated version of 建筑排水用硬聚氯乙烯(PVC-U)结构壁管材.

GB/T 33608-2017 covers the unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) structured-wall pipe used for soil and waste discharge inside buildings, extruded from PVC resin with the necessary additives; foamed pipe is outside its scope.

It gives the terms and definitions, the materials, the classification, the structure and marking, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, transport and storage of the pipe.

It defines the helical rib that runs along the inner wall and the height of that rib. For the tests it cites the methods for density, the standard conditioning environment, longitudinal shrinkage, Vicat softening temperature, tensile properties, dimensions, ring stiffness, external impact resistance and the curvature of rigid pipe. It was issued on 12 May 2017 and has applied since 1 December 2017.

Foreword

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) structural wall tubing for construction drainage (hereinafter referred to as "pipe"). Materials, classification, structure and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transport and storage.

This standard applies to the polyvinyl chloride resin as the main raw material, adding the necessary additives, the extrusion of the construction of the use of hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) structural wall pipe.

This standard does not apply to foaming pipes.

3 Terms and definitions

GB/T 19278-2003 Definitions and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Ribbed helix ridge

The inner wall of the pipe is linear in the axial direction of the pipe and has a convex line with a diversion action.

3.2 Screw height

The radial distance from the top of the rib to the inner wall of the pipe is calculated from equation (1)
