Foreword

GB/T 33584 "seawater cooling water quality requirements and analysis of detection methods" is divided into six parts.

- Part 1: Determination of calcium and magnesium ions;

- Part 2: Determination of zinc;

This part is part 1 of GB/T 33584.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This section is presented by the State Oceanic Administration.

This part is headed by the National Marine Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC283).

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 33584 specifies the water quality requirements for seawater and the determination of calcium in seawater cooling water by EDTA complexometric titration. Method of Magnesium Ion Content.

This part is suitable for the calcium content of seawater cooling water 200mg/L ~ 1000mg/L, magnesium content of 800mg/L ~ 3200mg/L Determination.

3 Water quality requirements

The main water quality indicators of seawater cooling water shall meet the requirements of Table 1.

Note 1: The permissible values for Ca2, Mg2, Cl-, SO42-, and isoquant are derived from 6.1.2 and 6.1.3 of GB/T 23248-2009.

Note 2: The permissible value of Zn2 is derived from GB 8978-1996 Table 4 Class II pollutant maximum allowable discharge concentration level standard.

Note 3: The permissible value of the dissolved solids is determined by the maximum concentration of N = 2.5 times the actual seawater cooling.
