Scope
GB/T 33545-2017 is the English-translated version of 起重电磁铁通用技术条件.
GB/T 33545-2017 is the Chinese general specification for lifting electromagnets, the magnets used to hold and carry scrap steel, steel sections and other magnetic material.
It covers the terms and definitions, the product model, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, the marking and instructions for use, and the packaging, transport and storage.
It applies to lifting electromagnets with a DC rated voltage of 660 V and below, and it separates the normal temperature type, which withstands 150 °C and below, the high temperature type for 150 °C to 650 °C and the extra-high temperature type for 650 °C to 700 °C. Clause 2 cites GB 4208 on enclosure protection, GB/T 14048.1-2012 on low-voltage switchgear and GB/T 549 on welded anchor chain. It was issued on 9 March 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.
