Scope
GB/T 33519-2017 is the English-translated version of 制动器分类.
GB/T 33519-2017 is the Chinese classification of brakes and the way a brake model is designated.
It sorts brakes first by whether they work by friction, and then by the form of the friction element: drum brakes are divided into internal brakes, among them the wedge, cam, putter, plunger and collar types, external brakes and airbag brakes, while disc brakes are divided into caliper disc brakes, fixed or floating, full disc brakes with one disc or several, and cone brakes.
The belt brake, the parking brake, manual or electronic, the driving brake and the integrated brake complete the arrangement. Its terms are those of GB/T 26665.
Designers, manufacturers and buyers use it to place a brake in the right class and write its model designation. It was issued on 28 February 2017 and has applied since 1 June 2017.
