Scope

GB/T 33488.2-2017 is the English-translated version of 化工用塑料焊接制承压设备检验方法第2部分：外观检测.

GB/T 33488.2-2017 is Part 2 of the Chinese series of test methods for welded thermoplastic pressure equipment used in the chemical industry, and it covers visual examination.

It sets the general requirements, that is the examiners, the equipment, the measuring tools and auxiliary materials and the written procedure, and then the three methods: direct visual examination, remote visual examination and translucent visual examination.

It also fixes how the result is evaluated and what the test report must contain, with weld gauges in Annex A and a report form in Annex B. It applies to the welded joints of pressure vessels and pressure piping made from PE, PP, PVC, ABS, PVDF or modified PTFE pipe or sheet by hot gas welding, extrusion welding and heated tool welding. It was issued on 28 February 2017 and has applied since 1 September 2017.

GB/T 33488 "Chemical plastic welding system with pressure equipment inspection method" is divided into four parts.

- Part 1. General;

This part is part 2 of GB/T 33488.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 33488 specifies the general requirements, test methods, and knot methods for the appearance inspection of plastic working systems for chemical welding systems Fruit evaluation and testing report.

This part is suitable for the use of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), acrylonitrile - butadiene - styrene plastic (ABS)

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Direct visual inspection

Do not use visual aids (except for lighting, mirrors, and low magnifiers), a visual inspection with eyes technology.

3.2 Indirect visual inspection
