Scope
GB/T 33280-2016 is the English-translated version of 纸尿裤规格与尺寸.
This standard fixes the specifications and sizes of disposal diapers.
Clause 1 states that it specifies their classification, their specification and size requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, that it applies to all kinds of baby diapers and adult diapers, and that it does not apply to the three products the draft renders as diapers, paper pads and care pads.
Clause 2 classifies the product twice over: by the person it is used on, into baby diapers and adult diapers, and by the way it is worn, into waist-type and pants-type.
Clause 3 carries the sizes, and for waist-paste type baby diapers Table 1 ties every specification to an applicable weight and to a maximum applicable waist circumference, from newborn (NB) at 5 kg or less and 42 cm or more, through S, M, L and XL, to the king size (XXL) at 15 kg or more and 57 cm or more.
Table 2 does the same for pants-type baby diapers over four specifications, M to king size (XXL), with maximum applicable waist circumferences from 50 cm or more up to 59 cm or more.
Subclause 3.1.3 lets the manufacturer set its own applicable weight and maximum applicable waist circumference for baby diapers in other special specifications.
The draft breaks off after 3.1.3, so the adult diaper sizes, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking are not shown.
It was proposed by the China Light Industry Federation and is administered by the National Paper Industry Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC141), with the China Pulp and Paper Research Institute first among the drafting units. It was issued on 2016-12-13 and has applied since 2017-07-01.

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, specification and size requirements of diaper, test methods, inspection rules and marking.
This standard applies to all kinds of baby diapers and adult diapers, not for diapers, paper pads and care pads.
2 Classification
2.1 Diaper according to the use of objects divided into baby diapers and adult diapers.
2.2 diaper according to wear the way is divided into waist-type diaper and pants-type diaper.
3 Specifications and size requirements
3.1 Baby diaper
3.1.1 waist paste type baby diaper corresponding to the corresponding size of the applicable weight and applicable waist should be consistent with the maximum provisions of Table 1.
