1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, naming and marking, technical requirements, test methods, and inspection regulations for natural stone protective agents.

This includes labeling, packaging, storage, and transportation.

This standard applies to protective agents for natural stone.

4 Classification, naming, and labeling

4.1 Classification

4.1.1

According to the dispersion medium, they are classified as follows.

a) Aqueous formulation (SJ). Protective agent with water as the dispersion medium.

b) Solvent-based (RJ). Protective agents that use organic solvents as the dispersion medium.

4.1.2

Classified by function.

a) Waterproof (FS). A protective agent that prevents water and water-based contaminants from penetrating into the interior of the stone.

b) Oil-resistant type (FY). A protective agent that prevents oil and oily contaminants from penetrating into the interior of the stone.

4.1.3

Classified by application location.

a) Finishing type (SM). A protective agent for non-adhesive stone surfaces. Finishing type protective agents are categorized by their water resistance, capillary absorption coefficient reduction rate, and durability.

The level of contamination is divided into two grades. Grade A and Grade B.

b) Base type (DM). A protective agent for stone bonding surfaces.

4.2 Naming and Tagging

4.2.1 Naming Order

Product name, dispersion medium, function, and application location.

4.2.2 Marking Order

Product name, dispersion medium, function, application location, grade, and standard number.

4.2.3 Example

5 Technical Requirements

5.1

Finishing protective agents shall comply with the requirements of Table 1.

5.2

The bottom-type protective agent shall comply with the provisions of Table 2.

5.3

The volatile organic compound (VOC) content in aqueous protective agents shall not exceed 120 g/L; the benzene content in solvent-based protective agents shall not exceed 0.3%.

The total content of toluene, xylene, and ethylbenzene is not greater than 5%.

6 Test Methods

6.1 Surface-type protective agents

6.1.1 Color Change

Proceed according to A.3.1 to A.3.4 in Appendix A.

6.1.2 pH value

Use precision pH test paper or a pH meter to measure.

6.1.3 Stability

Take two 10 mL samples and place them in two separate test tubes. Place them on opposite sides of an electric centrifuge and rotate at 3000 rpm.

After 5 minutes, remove the test tube and observe whether there is any layering, oil floating, or sediment.

6.1.4 Water resistance

Proceed according to Appendix A.

6.1.5 Stain resistance

Proceed according to Appendix B.

6.1.6 Acid resistance

Proceed according to Appendix C.

6.1.7 Alkali resistance

Proceed according to Appendix D.

6.1.8 Resistance to UV aging

Proceed according to Appendix E.

6.2 Bottom-side protective agent

6.2.1 Impermeability

According to the instructions for use of the bottom-surface protective agent, the bottom surfaces of five 150mm×150mm×20mm stone samples were respectively applied to the bottom and...

Protect all four sides until the curing period is reached. Place the sample bottom-down on a container of cement mortar (cement and sand in a 1.2.5 ratio, with water added).

The container (160mm×160mm×25mm wide box, lined with 240mm×240mm plastic film) is used for preparation.

The cement mortar was applied to approximately half the thickness of the stone. The exposed sides of the stone and the perimeter of the container were sealed with plastic tape before placement.

For 7 days, observe the color change and the presence of water spots on the sample surface every other day, and record any abnormalities.

6.2.2 Cement bond strength reduction rate

Proceed as per Appendix F.

6.3 Limits for Hazardous Substances

The determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB 18582.The determination of benzene, toluene, xylene, and ethylbenzene shall be carried out in accordance with...

The requirements in GB 18581 shall apply.

7 Inspection Rules

7.1 Factory Inspection

7.1.1 Inspection Items

Topcoat protective agents are characterized by color change, pH value, stability, water resistance, and stain resistance; base coat protective agents are characterized by impermeability.

7.1.2 Batching

For the same type and grade, 3000kg constitutes one batch; less than 3000kg is considered one batch.

7.1.3 Sampling

Two 1kg samples were randomly selected from the same batch of products, one as a backup and the other for testing.

7.1.4 Determination

If all inspection results of a product meet the technical requirements and corresponding grade, then the batch of products is deemed to meet that grade.

If any item fails to meet the standard, a backup sample should be retested. If the retest result meets the standard, the batch of products is deemed compliant.

If the product does not meet this rating, the batch is deemed not to meet this rating.

7.2 Type Testing

7.2.1 Inspection Items

All technical requirements in Chapter 5.

7.2.2 Inspection conditions

Type testing shall be conducted under any of the following circumstances.

a) When the new product is initially finalized;

b) When there are significant changes in the product formula, process, and raw materials;

c) When production resumes after a shutdown of more than six months;

d) Once a year during normal production.

7.2.3 Batching and Sampling

Same as factory inspection.

7.2.4 Determination

If all inspection results for the product meet the technical requirements and corresponding grades, the batch of products is deemed qualified. If any one item fails to meet the requirements, the batch is deemed qualified.

qualified.

8 Marking, Packaging, Storage and Transportation

8.1 Marking

The product packaging should include the following.

a) Manufacturer's name and address;

b) Trademark;

c) Product marking;

d) Does the product require dilution, and if so, what is the appropriate ratio? e) Production date or batch number;

f) Shelf life;

g) Capacity or net weight;

h) Product instructions and precautions.

8.2 Packaging

The product should be sealed in packaging using materials that do not react with it.

8.3 Storage and Transportation

8.3.1

During storage and transportation, products of different types and grades should be stacked separately, protected from direct sunlight and rain, and kept away from fire sources. The storage temperature should be [temperature range missing].

5°C~40°C.

8.3.2

Prevent tilting or horizontal pressure during transportation; cover if necessary.

8.3.3

The storage period is 6 months from the date of production. Products stored beyond 6 months must pass inspection according to this standard before continued use.
