1 Scope

GB/T 3260 provisions of this part of the malachite green spectrophotometric method tin antimony content.

This section applies to the determination of tin in the antimony content. Determination of the range of 0.00050% to 0.0500%.

2 Method summary

Samples with hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide dissolved in hydrochloric acid medium, antimony anions generated green and malachite green complex, which is extracted in toluene,

Spectrophotometer measuring the absorbance at a wavelength of 635nm.

3 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity.

3.1

hydrochloride (rho1.19g/mL).

3.2

Hydrogen peroxide (30%).

3.3

toluene.

3.4

hydrochloride (53).

3.5

phosphate (19).

3.6 stannous chloride solution (100g/L)

Weigh 10g of stannous chloride (SnCl2 · 2H2O), added 20mL of hydrochloric acid (3.2), dissolved by heating, cooling

However, dilute with water to 100mL.

3.7

sodium nitrite solution (140g/L).

3.8

urea solution (400g/L).

3.9

malachite green solution (2g/L).

3.10

over anhydrous sodium sulfate.

3.11 Antimony standard stock solution

Weigh 0.2742g antimony potassium tartrate (KSbOC4H4O6 · 1/2H2O) placed in 250mL beaker, add

Into 100mL of hydrochloric acid (3.4), stirring to dissolve, transferred to 1000mL volumetric flask with hydrochloric acid (3.4) Wash the beaker and dilute to volume, mix uniform. This solution 1mL containing 100µg antimony.

3.12 Antimony standard solution

Pipette 25.00mL antimony standard stock solution (3.11) in 500mL volumetric flask (3.4) diluted to the mark with hydrochloric acid

Degree, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 5µg antimony.

Step 4 Analysis

4.1 Sample
