Scope

GB/T 32295-2026 is the English-translated version of 运载火箭剩余推进剂排放设计要求.

When a launch vehicle finishes its mission, propellant that has not been consumed must be dealt with safely, and this standard sets design requirements for venting that residual propellant. It is relevant to launch vehicle designers, propulsion and pressurisation engineers, safety and reliability specialists, and the organisations that integrate and operate launch systems and want to limit hazards after engine cutoff.

The document focuses on the design of the venting function rather than on operations, so it would be consulted during vehicle development and design review. It was issued on 28 September 2026 and takes effect on 1 January 2027. It replaces GB/T 32295-2015. The responsible body is the Standardization Administration of China, and our records show no adoption of an international standard. As a recommended national standard it is not compulsory, but aerospace programmes and suppliers working with Chinese launch systems may use it as a design reference and as a basis for requirements in contracts.
