Scope
GB/T 32160-2015 is the English-translated version of 工业甲基萘.
GB/T 32160-2015 specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transport, storage, quality certification and safety precautions for industrial methylnaphthalene.
Clause 1 states that it applies to the industrial methylnaphthalene obtained by the fractionation of coking naphthalene oil and wash oil.
Clause 3 carries the technical requirements in a single table that sets two grades: the methylnaphthalene content, taken as the sum of the alpha and beta isomers, is to be at least 70.0 percent by mass for the first grade and 60.0 percent for the second, the naphthalene content at most 12.0 and 15.0 percent respectively, and the moisture content at most 1.0 percent for both; the same clause states that moisture is only an index for controlling production operations.
Clause 4 assigns the test methods, determining the methylnaphthalene and naphthalene contents in accordance with YB/T 5154 and the moisture content in accordance with GB/T 2288.
Clause 5 places quality inspection and acceptance with the supplier quality supervision and inspection department and has samples taken in accordance with GB/T 1999; GB/T 8170 is also cited among the normative references for the expression of numerical values and the judgment of limiting values.
The standard was proposed by the China Iron and Steel Association and is administered by the National Technical Committee on Coal Chemical Industry Standardization (SAC/TC 469), and it was drafted by Shanghai Baosteel Chemical Co., Ltd. and the Metallurgical Industry Information Standards Institute. It was issued on 9 October 2015 and has applied since 1 December 2015.

This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules. The standard proposed by China Iron and Steel Association.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements of industrial methylnaphthalene, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certification, safety injection Italy matters.

3 Technical requirements
3.1 Industrial methylnaphthalene shall comply with the technical requirements specified in Table 1.
