GB/T 32107-2015 is the English-translated version of 臭氧处理循环冷却水技术规范.

GB/T 32107-2015 specifies the ozone treatment of recirculating cooling water, covering the treatment system, the quality of the water after treatment, the test methods, the construction, the operation and maintenance management and the technical requirements for labour safety and occupational health.

Clause 1 states that it applies to the engineering design, construction, inspection and operation of indirect cooling open recirculating cooling water systems that use ozone treatment technology, and that it gives the requirements and the technical basis for the test methods.

Clause 3 repeats, for ease of use, some of the terms and definitions of GB 50050-2007, and gives three of them: the recirculating cooling water system, made up of the heat transfer equipment, the cooling equipment, the treatment facilities, the pumps, the piping and the related facilities through which water runs as the cooling medium; the indirect cooling open system, which is the system clause 1 names as the field of application; and the count of aerobic heterotrophic bacteria, taken as the number of heterotrophic colonies per millilitre of water by plate count.

Clause 2 cites eleven documents, among them GB 50050-2007 on the design of industrial recirculating cooling water treatment, GB 3095 on ambient air quality, GB 12348 on industrial noise at the plant boundary, GB 28232, CJ/T 322 and HJ/T 264 on ozone generators, GB/T 5750.11 on the examination of drinking water disinfectants, GB/T 14643.1 and HG/T 4207 on the counting of bacteria in industrial recirculating cooling water, HG/T 4323 on the detection and counting of Legionella, and GB/T 15893.1 on the determination of turbidity.

The foreword records that the standard was proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association and is centralized by the National Standardization Technical Committee Chemistry (SAC/TC63).

The draft published on the page breaks off at the end of clause 3, so the treatment system, the treated water quality, the test methods and the management and safety provisions announced in clause 1 cannot be read. It was issued on 9 October 2015 and has applied since 1 May 2016.
