GB/T 31432-2015 is the English-translated version of 独山玉 命名与分类.
GB/T 31432-2015 fixes the naming and classification of Dushan jade, the multi-coloured altered anorthosite quarried at Dushan near Nanyang in Henan.
It gives the definition of the material, the identifying characteristics by which it is told apart - mineral and chemical composition, crystalline state, colour, optical and physical properties - and then the classification and the rules for naming a raw material or a finished product.
It applies to Dushan jade raw materials and products. Gemmological laboratories issuing a report, carvers and traders use it. Issued on 15 May 2015, it has applied since 1 June 2015.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the definition of Dushan Jade, identifying characteristics, classification and nomenclature.
This standard applies to Dushan Jade raw materials and products.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Dushan
In basic plagioclase, zoisite, muscovite (chromium), amphibole fibers as the main mineral composition of fine altered anorthosite, gabbro, to Green, multi-colored white, brown, red, yellow, black, is characterized by the coexistence; by magmatic differentiation, dynamic metamorphism and hydrothermal multiperiodic broken along fracture zone Filling and replacement of a group ultrabasic complex rock formed. 4 Features
4.1 Mineral composition
The main minerals. mafic plagioclase, zoisite, muscovite (chromium), amphibole fibers, etc; secondary minerals. pyroxene, biotite, actinolite, etc;
Trace minerals. diopside, sphene, chromite. There are differences between different colors of Dushan main mineral composition.
4.2 Chemical composition Dushan
chemical composition mainly SiO2, Al2O3 and CaO, containing TiO2, Cr2O3, FeO, MnO, MgO, Na2O and Co, Ni, Sr, V and other trace elements.
4.3 Crystalline state
Crystal aggregates, often has a fine, fine fiber dense block.
4.4 Properties of Materials
Common colors. green, white, brown, red, yellow, blue, black; two or more colors and more composed, was banded, lumpy, disseminated or gradient over Distribution crossing.
