Scope

GB/T 31334.5-2017 is the English-translated version of 浸胶帆布试验方法 第5部分:拉伸性能.

GB/T 31334.5-2017 is Part 5 of the Chinese test methods for dipped canvas and describes how the tensile properties of a dipped canvas made from fibre are measured.

Under the method a specimen of set size is clamped in a constant-rate-of-extension tensile testing machine and pulled at a constant speed until it breaks, and the breaking strength, the elongation at break and the elongation at constant load are read from the machine or calculated.

It fixes the requirements for the machine and its grips: a strength indication error within 1%, an elongation indication error within 0.1 mm, a gauge length error within 1 mm, and a range such that the specimen breaks between 10% and 90% of it. Issued on 7 September 2017, it has applied since 1 April 2018.

Foreword

GB/T 31334 "dipped canvas test method" is divided into 6 parts.

--- Part 1: Adhesion strength;

--- Part 2: Warp curl and density;

--- Part 3: Stiffness;

--- Part 4: Dry heat shrinkage;

--- Part 5: Tensile properties;

--- Part 6: Square dry weight.

This section GB/T 31334 Part 5.

This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

1 Scope

GB/T 31334 provisions of this part will be made of fiber dipped canvas made into a certain size of the sample, the test of its breaking strength, fracture Elongation, constant load elongation and other tensile properties of the test method.

This section applies to the manufacture of fiber dipped canvas tensile test. Tensile properties of dipped cord fabric sheets made of fibers Tests and other dipped scaffold material tensile properties of sheet samples can also be used with reference to the test.

2 Normative references

The following documents for the application of this document is essential. For dated references, only the dated version applies to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Test principle

Under the specified test conditions, dipped canvas samples were clamped and fixed on a constant speed (CRE) type tensile testing machine with a constant pull Stretching speed Applied tensile force to the specimen until the specimen breaks. Read directly from the tensile testing machine or calculated by the tensile strength of the specimen, elongation rupture Length, constant load elongation and other tensile properties of data.

4 Instruments and tools

4.1 Tensile testing machine

This section should be used constant speed (CRE) type tensile testing machine, the test machine should be equipped with automatic recorder or can automatically calculate and display this Part of the required data processing device, should meet the following requirements.

a) Ability to record breaking strength and elongation values and plot strength-elongation curves;

b) the relative error of the indication of the strength value should not exceed 1%;

c) elongation value indication error should not be greater than 0.1mm;

d) holding the value of gauge length error should not be greater than 1mm;

e) have a suitable measuring range, so that the strength of the specimen rupture in the range of 10% to 90% range.

4.2 Tensile testing machine holder

Clamps used in this part of the test should meet the following requirements.

a) The specimen shall be clamped between the holder planes;
