Scope

GB/T 47897.1-2026 is the English-translated version of 浸胶帘线、线绳、纱线粘合性能的测定 第1部分:U抽出法.

GB/T 47897.1-2026 is Part 1 of a series on determining the adhesion of dipped cords, ropes and yarns, and it uses the U-extraction (U-pull) method. It describes the test principle, equipment, test rules, test procedure, calculation of results and the test report.

The equipment clause includes a tensile testing machine. It applies to determining the adhesion between rubber and dipped cords, ropes and yarns made of fibre, tested under heated conditions.

The series also plans a sheet peeling method in a further part. Issued on 2 July 2026 and applicable from 1 February 2027. Its normative references are GB/T 2941, GB/T 8170 and GB/T 32110.

Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document is Part 1 of GB/T 47897, "Determination of Adhesive Properties of Resin-Plated Cords, Ropes and Yarns". GB/T 47897 has been issued. The following parts were laid out.

---Part 1: U-Extraction Method.

Introduction

Rubber-impregnated cords, ropes, and yarns are important categories of rubber-impregnated reinforcing materials. The quality of their adhesion to rubber is crucial.

It is a crucial factor related to the quality of products and rubber products, and also a key factor related to product safety and personal safety. Currently, the domestic and international industry... The main methods for testing adhesive properties include the U-pull method, sheet peeling method, and single-strand peeling method, etc., based on the actual situation of the industry and the development over the years.

Establishing established practices for adhesive performance testing and standardizing the test methods for adhesive performance determination will help improve product quality and promote industry development. Collaborative development and technological progress across the industry chain.

GB/T 47897 "Determination of Adhesive Properties of Glue-Dipped Cords, Ropes and Yarns" is proposed to consist of three parts.

---Part 1: U-Extraction Method. The purpose is to determine the adhesive properties using a U-shaped sample under heating.

---Part 2: Sheet Peel Method. The purpose is to determine adhesive properties using sheet samples.

---Part 3: Single-strand peeling method. The purpose is to determine the adhesive properties using a single-strand sample.

1 Scope

This document describes the test principle, equipment, test rules, and test procedure for determining the adhesive properties of PVC-impregnated cords, ropes, and yarns using the U-extraction method. Preface, results calculation and test report.

This document applies to the determination of the adhesive properties of fiber-made impregnated cords, ropes, yarns, and rubber under heated conditions.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents, through normative references within the text, constitute essential provisions of this document. Dated citations are not included. This document.

GB/T 2941 General Procedures for Specimen Preparation and Conditioning in Physical Testing Methods for Rubber

GB/T 8170 Rules for rounding off numerical values and the representation and determination of limiting values

GB/T 32110 Terms and Definitions for Resin-Impregnated Reinforced Reinforced Materials

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 32110 apply to this document.

A sample module is prepared by vulcanizing rubber with rubber using rubber-impregnated cord, rubber-impregnated rope, or rubber-impregnated yarn. The sample module is then embedded into the heating clamp of the testing device.

The holder is heated to a set temperature, and the U-shaped wire loop on the specimen module is extracted from the specimen module using a tensile testing machine. The result is... The maximum force value is the thermal adhesive force between the rubber-impregnated cord, rubber-impregnated rope, rubber-impregnated yarn and rubber. This value is used to characterize the bonding force between the rubber-impregnated cord, rope, yarn and rubber. The thermal bonding properties of the adhesive.

4 Experimental Principle

5 Equipment

5.2 Test Apparatus.

5.1 Tensile Testing Machine

A constant rate of elongation (CRE) type tensile testing machine should be used. The testing machine should be equipped with an automatic recorder or one that can automatically calculate and display the required test data. The data processing device should also meet the following requirements.

a) Capable of recording tensile force values;

b) The test error of the tensile force value should be less than or equal to 1%;

c) It has a suitable tensile range so that the extraction force of the sample is within 10% to 90% of its range.
