Scope

GB/T 31334.4-2016 is the English-translated version of 浸胶帆布试验方法 第4部分:干热收缩率.

GB/T 31334.4-2016 specifies the test method for determining the dry heat shrinkage of dipped canvas using a horizontal placement method; the page gives the title of this part both as hot air thermal shrinkage and as dry heat shrinkage.

Clause 1 states that the part applies to testing the dry heat shrinkage performance of dipped canvas made of fiber, and no exclusion is stated.

Clause 4 sets out the principle: after the dipped canvas sample has been dried at a certain temperature for a certain time, its warp or weft contraction length is measured, and the ratio of that contraction length to the original length of the dipped canvas is the dry heat shrinkage, expressed as a rate.

Clause 5 lists the equipment and tools: a constant temperature oven adjustable to 150 °C ± 2 °C with a drying chamber volume of not less than 0.4 m3, a metal mesh with 20 mm by 20 mm square holes and a wire diameter of 2.0 mm ± 0.2 mm, a steel plate ruler with a minimum scale value of 0.5 mm, and a dryer using the blue gel indicator specified in HG/T 2765.4.

Clause 6 requires the test to be carried out in the standard atmosphere specified in GB/T 6529 and the sample to be cut from a 1 m length of smooth dipped canvas free of visible flaws; the draft breaks off in that sampling provision.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 6529, GB/T 8170, GB/T 32110 and HG/T 2765.4, and clause 3 takes its terms and definitions from GB/T 32110. The foreword states that GB/T 31334 is divided into six parts, on adhesive strength, meridional crimp and density, stiffness, dry heat shrinkage, tensile properties and dry weight per square metre.

The part was proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association and sits with the dipping skeleton material sub-technical committee of the national rubber and rubber products standardization technical committee (SAC/TC35/SC13); the page places it at ICS 83.140.99 and Chinese classification G47. It was issued on 13 December 2016 and has applied since 1 July 2017.

Foreword

GB/T 31334 "dipping canvas test method" is divided into six parts.

Part 1. Adhesive strength;

- Part 2. meridional crimp and density;

Part 3. stiffness;

- Part 4. Dry heat shrinkage;

- Part 5. Tensile properties;

- Part 6. square meters dry weight.

This part is part 4 of GB/T 31334.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 31334 specifies the test method for the determination of dry heat shrinkage of dipped canvas using a horizontal placement method.

This part is applicable to the test of dry heat shrinkage performance of dipped canvas made of fiber.

4 Test principle

Dipped canvas samples after a certain temperature and a certain time after drying, measuring its warp or weft contraction length, the contraction length and dip The ratio of the original length of the canvas is the dry heat shrinkage of the dipped canvas, which characterizes the dry heat shrinkage of the dipped canvas under certain conditions, Rate representation.

5 Equipment and tools

5.1 constant temperature oven. the temperature can be adjusted to 150 °C ± 2 °C, drying chamber volume of not less than 0.4m3.

5.2 metal mesh. square hole 20mm x 20mm, wire diameter of 2.0mm ± 0.2mm.

5.3 steel plate ruler. the minimum scale value of 0.5mm.

5.4 Dryer. Use the blue gel indicator specified in HG/T 2765.4 as a desiccant.

6 Test General

6.1 Test environment

The test shall be carried out in the standard atmospheric environment specified in GB/T 6529.

6.2 Sampling

Cut a piece of 1m long dip canvas cloth cloth, cloth should be smooth, there should be no visible flaws.
