GB/T 30555-2014 gives the rules for the thermal acceptance test of a screw expander and of a screw expander unit.

Clause 1 states that it specifies the test methods and the calculation program for the thermal performance of back-pressure and condensing steam screw expanders used for low temperature waste heat power generation or for driving, that it covers the test preparation and the uniform rules of implementation and evaluation and contains details of the test conditions, and that it applies to screw expander units running on a two-phase working fluid, whose name the draft garbles, on saturated steam or on superheated steam, and to twin screw expander cycle units running on a non-water working fluid such as a low boiling point fluid; it adds that for complex or special cases not covered the manufacturer and the purchaser should reach an appropriate agreement before signing the contract.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 2624 in all its parts, GB 3102.3, GB/T 8117.1-2008 and GB/T 30554-2014.

Clause 3.1 takes over the terms of GB/T 30554-2014 and adds five of its own: the rated condition, the operating condition at the rated inlet and outlet parameters and speed under the prescribed or contract conditions; the rated power, the power the expander delivers at rated conditions with the regulating valve fully open, which the text also calls the nameplate power; the gross output power, measured at the generator terminal of the screw expansion unit; the auxiliary power consumption, the electricity consumed by all the electrical equipment of the unit; and the net power output, the gross output less the auxiliary power consumption.

The draft breaks off at that last definition, so none of the guideline, measurement or calculation clauses is shown.

It was proposed by China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association and is kept by the National Standardization Technical Committee on screw expanders (SAC/TC512), under ICS 27.040 and Chinese classification K59, with about 26,225 words estimated.

It was issued on 6 May 2014 and has applied since 28 October 2014; the page does not say which edition it replaces.
