1 Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness within the frequency range of 10kHz ~ 40GHz planar electromagnetic shielding material.

3 Terms and Definitions

GB/T 26667-2011 define the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Electric thin

Far less than the thickness of the sample (< 1/100) wavelength conductive sample.

3.2 shielding effectiveness electromagneticshielding; SE

At some point the same excitation, shielding materials and shielding materials without the measured electric field strength, magnetic field strength or power ratio.

Or SE = 20lg (H2/H1) (dB) (1)

Or SE = 10lg (P2/P1) (dB)

Where.

SE --- shielding effectiveness (dB);

H1 --- unshielded magnetic field strength of the material;

H2 --- a magnetic field strength of the shielding material;

E1 --- unshielded electric field strength of the material;

E2 --- electric field strength when the shielding material;

P1 --- power when no shielding material;

P2 --- power of shielding material.

Note. The shielding effectiveness is usually negative, but the practice of using its absolute value.
