3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Plating coating
The substrate surface is deposited a thin layer of metal or alloy to achieve the decorative covering layer, a protective function.
3.2 Rust (rust hole) rusts (thespot)
The coating corrosion penetration, significant corrosion products at discontinuities or voids. Rust and rust hole size is consistent.
3.3 Pinhole pores
Through tiny channels from the coating surface to the bottom of the coating or matrix metal.
3.4 From the skin peeling
Flaky coating off phenomenon substrate.
3.5 Blister
One kind of projection-like defects in the coating due to loss of adhesion between the coating and the base metal caused.
3.6 Peeling
Coating from the substrate or the next coating separated off.
