Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

This document replaces GB/T 28879-2012 "Methods for Compiling Product Models of Electrical Instruments". Compared with GB/T 28879-2012, In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) According to GB/T 4754-2017, the scope of application of electrical instruments and meters has been re-sorted, and the definition that does not need to be defined in actual use has been deleted.

Types of electrical instrumentation (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2012 edition);

b) Deleted the terms and definitions of inductive energy meters (see 3.5 of the 2012 edition);

c) Added electromechanical meters, static meters, active energy meters, reactive energy meters, multi-energy meters, multi-function meters and multi-charge meters terms and definitions such as rate meters (see 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 3.10, 3.11);

d) The definition of meter type is added, and the definition and naming of the type of electric energy meter is clarified (see 3.12);

e) Changed the composition form of the installed electric energy meter model, and changed it to be mainly composed of product category number, group number, feature description, registration number (or Design serial number), free field, communication channel, improvement number, and detailed description of each component (see 4.1, 2012 version 4.2);

f) A free field is added, which consists of lowercase English characters, generally no more than 4 digits, and can be freely compiled by enterprises when needed (see 4.1);

g) Changed the code of the installed electric energy meter product (see Table 3, Table 3 of the 2012 edition);

h) The code example of the installed electric energy meter product is added (see Table 4);

i) Added the code P of the power quality monitor (see Table 5).

1 Scope

This document specifies the compilation method of the models of electrical instrumentation products (hereinafter referred to as products), and gives relevant examples.

This document applies to GB/T 4754-2017 C4012 "Manufacture of Electrical Instruments" and C4016 "Manufacture of Instruments for Supply" Designation of the following products.

3 Terms and Definitions

Definition of GB/T 2900.77-2008, GB/T 2900.79-2008, GB/T 2900.89-2012, GB/T 17215.211-2021 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
