GB/T 28762-2012 is the English-translated version of 数控剪板机.

GB/T 28762-2012 fixes the terms and definitions, technical requirements, accuracy, test methods, inspection rules, marking, nameplates, packaging, transport and storage for NC shears.

Clause 1 states that the standard applies to NC shears, and that shears fitted with an NC feeding device may also be dealt with by reference to it.

The extent of what the standard controls can be read from the documents it cites in clause 2, which cover general tolerances for linear and angular dimensions and geometrical tolerances without individual tolerance indications, ductile iron, safety colours and safety signs with their rules of use, general technical requirements for hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems and hydraulic components, the electrical equipment of machines (GB 5226.1-2008), machine lubrication systems, and the general rules for testing the accuracy of forging machinery.

Gearing and transmission accuracy is covered through the cylindrical gear accuracy system parts 1 and 2, cylindrical worm accuracy and bevel and hypoid gear accuracy; product documentation and identification through the general requirements for industrial product manuals and the standard on nameplates; and safety and noise through the safety requirements for forging machinery, the noise measurement methods for forging machinery and the noise limits for shears.

The standard also cites GB/T 14404-2011 on precision shears and a set of JB/T standards on shear types and basic parameters, shear terminology, and the types, basic parameters and technical requirements of shear blades.

It was proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation, is administered by the national forging machinery standardization technical committee, SAC/TC 220, and was drafted according to the rules of GB/T 1.1-2009.

It was approved by AQSIQ and the Standardization Administration of China under National Standards Bulletin 2012 No. 28, and is classified under ICS 25.120.10 and Chinese classification J62.
