1 Scope

GB/T 27021.12-2023 is Part 12 of the Chinese series on requirements for management system certification bodies, and sets the competence requirements for auditing collaborative business relationship management systems. A CBRMS is not a process to be inspected: it is the way two organisations behave towards each other in a joint venture, an alliance or a long-term supply relationship, and auditing it means judging leadership behaviour, the alignment of values, the way value is shared and, critically, whether the exit strategy has been agreed while the parties are still friendly. That calls for auditor competences that a process auditor does not have. The standard sets the general competence requirements, the auditor competences covering vision and values, collaborative leadership and behaviour, risk management, exit strategy and contractual arrangements, and the competences of the other personnel involved, with an informative annex on the knowledge required. It took effect on 6 August 2023.

This document sets out the specific competency requirements for personnel involved in the Collaborative Business Relationship Management System (CBRMS) audit and certification process. Supplement to the existing requirements of ISO /IEC 17021-1.
