Scope
GB/T 26650-2025 is the English-translated version of 摩托车和电动自行车用镁合金车轮铸件.
GB/T 26650-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the same castings for two-wheelers — the alloys and the properties, the wall thickness and the soundness, the surface treatment against corrosion, and the fatigue and impact testing scaled to a wheel that carries a rider with no second axle to fall back on. It replaces GB/T 26650-2011, with the car wheel standard GB/T 26649-2025. In force from 1 March 2026. Issued on 29 August 2025, it has been in force since 1 March 2026, replacing GB/T 26650-2011.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 5611 are applicable to this document.
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 Chemical Composition
4.5 Surface Quality
4.5.1 The surface of the wheel castings shall be smooth and free of scabs, under-casting, cracks, porosity, holes, cold shuts and damage that may affect strength.
4.5.2 The tyre mounting surface and the area around the valve hole of the wheel castings shall be free of defects that may damage the outer or inner tube or affect valve function.
4.5.3 The rim area of tubeless wheel castings shall be free of holes, slag inclusions or cracks that may affect air-tightness.
4.5.4 Casting defects within the machining allowances are permitted on the wheel castings.
5 Test Methods
5.1 Chemical Composition
The inspection method for chemical composition shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 13748.21.
5.2 Mechanical Properties
5.2.1 The tensile test method shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 228.1.
5.2.2 The hardness test method shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 231.1.
5.3 Dimensional and Geometrical Tolerances
The dimensional and geometrical tolerances of the wheel castings shall be inspected using testing tools that meet precision requirements.
5.4 Internal Quality
Internal defects of the wheel castings shall be inspected by non-destructive X-ray testing, and the inspection method shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 39638.
5.5 Surface Quality
The surface quality of the wheel castings shall be visually inspected.
6 Inspection Rules
6.1 Batch Grouping
Castings of the same designation, produced on the same casting machine, using the same mold, and produced continuously in the same shift are considered a batch. Special batch grouping shall be determined by agreement between the supply-side and the demand-side.
6.2 Inspection Items
Inspection is classified into exit-factory inspection and type inspection. The inspection items for exit-factory inspection and type inspection are shown in Table 4.
6.3 Sampling
See Table 5 for the provisions for the sampling of the wheel castings. ......
