Scope
GB/T 26633-2011 is the English-translated version of 工业用高粱.
GB/T 26633-2011 specifies the terms and definitions, the quality and hygiene requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, the label, marking and traceability requirements and the packaging, storage and transport requirements for sorghum for industrial use.
Clause 1 applies it to industrial commodity sorghum. Clause 3 adopts the terms established in GB/T 8231 and adds one entry whose term name the draft does not print, defined as sorghum used as an industrial raw material for brewing and for the production of starch and sugar.
Clause 4, Quality and hygiene requirements, grades the product in Table 1 by starch content, at not less than 70.5% for grade 1, not less than 67.5% for grade 2 and not less than 64.5% for grade 3, with anything below 64.5% counted as substandard, and notes that grade 2 is taken as the medium level.
The same table also caps imperfect grains, total mildewed kernels, impurities and moisture and requires colour and odour to be normal, but the draft flattens the table so that those four limits cannot be matched to their columns with certainty, and they are left out here.
The page breaks off inside Table 1, so the hygiene requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labelling, traceability and packaging clauses announced in clause 1 are not shown.
Clause 2 cites GB 2715, GB/T 5490, GB 5491, GB/T 5492, GB/T 5494, GB/T 5497, GB/T 5514, GB/T 8231, GB/T 8946 and GB/T 24904. It was proposed by the National Food Authority and drafted by the Institute of Food Science of Liaoning Province together with a Liaoning provincial grain and oil testing body that the draft names only in garbled form. It was issued on 2011-06-16 and has applied since 2011-11-01.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions for industrial use sorghum, quality and health requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labels, logos and chase Traceability requirements, as well as packaging, storage and transportation requirements.
This standard applies to industrial goods sorghum.
