This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part

1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 26378-2011 "Combed wool fabrics". Compared with GB/T 26378-2011, except for structural adjustments and editorial In addition to the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows:

1 Scope

GB/T 26378-2024 is the Chinese product standard for woollen fabrics, the woven cloth made from carded rather than combed wool: tweeds, meltons, flannels and coatings, the heavier and hairier end of the wool trade. It is the document a piece of such cloth is accepted against. The standard sets the classification and the grading of the fabric, the requirements on the fibre content and its tolerance, the physical requirements including mass per unit area, width, breaking strength, tear strength, pilling and abrasion resistance, dimensional change on washing and on dry cleaning and the shrinkage after steam pressing, the colour fastness to light, washing, dry cleaning, water, perspiration and rubbing, the appearance quality and the counting and grading of defects, the limits on formaldehyde, pH and decomposable aromatic amines, together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage. The 2024 edition replaces GB/T 26378-2011.
