Scope
GB/T 26114-2024 is the English-translated version of 液体过滤用过滤器 通用技术规范.
China's national general technical specification for filters used in liquid filtration. It specifies the classification, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of liquid filters. A filter is a component almost every process plant contains and almost no plant specifies carefully, and the reason this standard exists is that the two numbers a filter is usually bought on - a micron rating and a flow rate - do not by themselves describe it. A micron rating means nothing until it is stated how it was determined and to what efficiency. A filter that removes ninety-five per cent of particles at a given size and one that removes 99.98 per cent at the same size are both sold with the same number on the label, and the difference between them is two orders of magnitude in what passes downstream. So the specification has to fix the efficiency basis and the test that establishes it, which is what makes ratings from different manufacturers comparable at all. The other requirements follow from what breaks a filter in service. The differential pressure rises as the element loads, so the collapse strength and the burst pressure decide what happens when the element is not changed on time - and an element that collapses releases everything it has collected at once, which is worse than never having filtered. The housing is a pressure vessel and has to be treated as one. The seals and the bypass arrangement determine whether the filtered flow actually goes through the medium. And the compatibility of the medium and the seals with the liquid and its temperature determines whether the element survives at all. Issued on 25 April 2024 and in force since 1 November 2024, it replaces GB/T 26114-2010.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting: This document replaces GB/T 26114-2010 "General Technical Specification for Filters for Liquid Filtration" and is consistent with GB/T 26114-2010: In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The scope of application has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the:2010 edition), and "non-hydraulic systems" has been deleted (see Chapter 1 of the:2010 edition): Chapter 1);
b) The definitions of core filter, basket filter and disc filter have been changed (see 3:2 to 3:4, 3:4 to 3:6 of the:2010 edition), and In addition to the terms and definitions for "filter bag" and "filter basket" (see Chapter 3 of the:2010 edition);
c) The filter model indication method has been deleted (see 4:3 of the:2010 edition);
d) Added basic requirements to be followed in design and requirements for geometric dimensions (see 5:1);
e) The requirements for metal materials in the requirements for materials and purchased parts have been changed (see 5:3:1, 5:3:1 of the:2010 edition), and castings and forgings have been deleted: The requirements for material selection (see 5:3:2, 5:3:3, 5:3:4 of the:2010 edition) have been added with regard to the material contact part: Request (see 5:3:3);
f) Increased internal sealing between the filter element and the support, the top cover and the top cover fixing, the space between the filter element, the filter The support type and position design and the requirements for filter structure in special industries (see 5:4:1, 5:4:4~5:4:7) are deleted: Strength and rigidity requirements for cylinder top cover and fixings (see 5:4:3 of the:2010 edition);
g) Added the requirements for filter sealing (see 5:5:2);
h) The requirements for appearance quality have been changed (see 5:5:3:1, 5:5:3:1 of the:2010 edition);
i) Added safety requirements for design failure, misoperation, shutdown or standby (see 5:6:1 and 5:6:2);
j) Added anti-static requirements for filter elements and safety requirements for electrical control systems (see 5:6:5 and 5:6:6);
k) Changed the test methods for filtration accuracy and pressure drop-flux characteristics to GB/T 30176 (see 6:1:2, 6:1:2,:2010 edition) 6:1:1, 6:1:2);
l) Added test methods for the internal sealing, geometric dimensions, appearance quality and safety performance of filter elements and support parts (see 6:2, 6:3, 6:6, 6:7);
m) The test methods for non-destructive testing and pressure testing have been changed (see 6:4, 6:5, 6:2, 6:3 of the:2010 edition);
