1 Scope

GB/T 25619-2023 covers the coupling by which an attachment is hung on a skid steer loader — the general requirements, the safety requirements, and the coupling dimensions of the attachment interface, with informative appendices on the mechanical characteristics of the skid steer loader quick coupler and on the width dimensions used on small machines. It applies to the skid steer loaders defined in ISO 6165. The dimensional limits are what make attachments interchangeable, which is the stated purpose of the document: a bucket, a broom or a grapple bought from one supplier has to sit on a carrier built by another, and the two only meet reliably if both worked to the same interface. Safety requirements sit beside the dimensions because the same connection that has to be easy to make and break in the field is the one holding the tool on the machine while it works. The coupler is now being fitted to products outside its original family — compact loaders, compact tractors and small off-road forklifts — so the design principles behind it are documented rather than left implicit. It replaces the 2010 edition. Used by loader manufacturers, attachment makers and fleet buyers running one carrier across many tools.

This document regulates attachments on skid steer loaders by specifying the requirements for skid steer loaders, including size limits for attachment attachments.
