Foreword

This standard is identical with ISO 3457:2003 "Earthmoving Machinery guards definitions and requirements" (in English).

This standard is equivalent translation ISO 3457:2003.

For ease of use, this standard also made some editorial changes.

a) "this International Standard" be replaced by "this standard";

b) Remove the foreword to international standards;

c) The ISO 3457:2003 international standard referenced with international standards have been adopted in place of the corresponding standard.

The standard proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.

This standard by the national earthmoving machinery Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC334) centralized.

This standard was drafted. Tianjin Construction Machinery Research Institute.

Introduction

This standard specifies the guards and other means of protection performance requirements, the device is used in normal operation and routine maintenance of earth-moving machinery , The danger of accidental contact persons by the mechanical, fluid, or heat sources to provide protection. Including separated from hazardous parts to guard Distance to anthropometric data based on the relationship between the size of the opening.

This standard does not include certain factors play an important role in the protection of persons, for example operators and service personnel training, experience and equipment Body manipulation.

With the development of technology allows the feasibility and design of machine systems and departing from these requirements. In accordance with the provisions of this standard, based on feasibility Consider the following three safety guidelines are given.

a) by a machine designed to eliminate the potential danger;

b) If you can not be eliminated by design, should provide protective gear to prevent exposure to potential safety hazards;

c) when a) and b) are not possible, they should be warned of the potential safety hazard.
