Scope

GB/T 24732-2009 is the English-translated version of 客运索道托(压)索轮通用技术条件.

GB/T 24732-2009 fixes the types, basic parameters, technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging and transport of the support (compression) sheaves of passenger ropeways.

Clause 1 states that it applies to the support and compression sheaves used on monocable circulating passenger ropeways and on towing-type ski lifts.

Clause 3.1 lists the types: the single-wheel support (compression) sheave designated T(N)D and the assemblies of two, four, six, eight, ten, twelve, fourteen and sixteen wheels designated T(N)D2 through T(N)D16, plus a combined support and compression sheave designated TND.

Clause 3.2 refers the basic parameters to Table 1, which pairs wheel diameters of 200, 250, 300, 400, 450, 500, 550 and 600 mm with single-wheel nominal loads running from 1.5 kN to 8.0 kN and maximum applicable rope diameters running from 16 mm to 60 mm.

The standard is administered by the national technical committee for ropeways and amusement rides standardization and was drafted by the Beijing Materials Handling Design and Research Institute. It was issued on 30 November 2009 and has applied since 1 June 2010.

1 Scope
