Scope
GB/T 24425.1-2009 is the English-translated version of 普通型钢丝螺套.
GB/T 24425.1-2009 is the Chinese standard "General type wire thread inserts". Its scope clause reads: This Standard specifies general type wire thread inserts with symmetrical profile, of which the nominal diameter of the thread is 2mm~39mm, and the thread pitch is 0.4mm~4mm.
The wire thread insert that is specified in this Part is screwed in the internal thread for 6H specified in GB/T 24425.5. The tolerance zone of the formed internal thread is 6H (GB/T 197).
The wire thread inserts specified in this Part are suitable for improving the strength of screw holes in the body of low-strength materials (such as aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy, copper alloy, cast iron and non-metal), improving the fatigue strength of screws and repairing damaged screw holes.
NOTE: The "nominal thread diameter" and "wire thread insert specifications" used in this Part REFER TO the nominal diameter and thread specifications of the internal thread formed after the wire thread insert is screwed into the internal thread specified in GB/T. Its clauses include size; technical conditions; marks.
It was issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on OCTOBER 15, 2009 and took effect on MARCH 01, 2010.

1 Scope
This Standard specifies general type wire thread inserts with symmetrical profile, of which the nominal diameter of the thread is 2mm~39mm, and the thread pitch is 0.4mm~4mm.
The wire thread insert that is specified in this Part is screwed in the internal thread for 6H specified in GB/T 24425.5. The tolerance zone of the formed internal thread is 6H (GB/T 197).

4 Technical conditions
The profile dimensions, technical requirements, acceptance inspection, marks and packaging of wire thread inserts are in accordance with the regulations of GB/T 24425.6.

5.1 Marking method
The content and order of marking for wire thread inserts are:
Wire thread insert Standard number Specification of wire thread inserts Number of turns in free state (the wire thread insert without a break groove is added with the letter W after the number of turns in free state) Others are in accordance with the regulations of GB/T 1237.
5.2 Marking examples
