This part uses the re-drafting method to modify ISO 9073-10.:2003 "Textile nonwovens test method Part 10. Dry State of the determination of flop. " the main technical differences between this part and ISO 9073-10.:2003 are.

- delete the catalog and preface of international standards;

ISO 554 in the normative reference document is replaced by GB/T 6529;

- ISO 14644-1 in the normative reference document is replaced by the corresponding national standard;

- Chapter 8 adds j).

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 24218 specifies the test method for measuring the blooming of nonwovens in a dry state. The method also applies to the other Textile materials.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Lint lint

Dispersed fiber during operation.

Flocking linting

The operation of the fiber debris and other particles off.

Coefficient of flock Measure the logarithm of all or part of the number of particles in the channel.

4 Principle

This method describes a modified Gelbo twist method in which the specimen is subjected to torsion and compression in the test chamber. In the twisting process the air is drawn from the chamber and the particles in the air stream are counted and classified using a dust particle counter. Measure the range according to the selected counter may be between 0.3 µm and 25 µm or 0.5 µm to 25 µm.
