Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 23754-2009 "Lead-acid battery tank". Compared with GB/T 23754-2009, the main technical changes are as follows:

--- Amended the scope of application (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2009 edition);

--- Modified product classification (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the 2009 edition);

--- Added technical requirements for lead-acid battery covers (see Chapter 5);

--- Increased the weight requirements for lead acid battery tanks (see 5.1);

--- Removed the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for lead acid battery rubber tanks (see Chapter 5, Chapter 6 and Chapter 7);

--- Increased technical requirements for deformation rate of lead-acid battery tanks (see 5.3);

--- Modified the falling ball height in the lead-acid battery tank test method (see Table 7, Table 5 of the 2009 edition);

--- Added technical requirements for radio frequency identification (RFID) electronic tags for lead-acid battery tanks (see 5.15);

--- Added test method for lead-acid battery covers (see Chapter 6);

--- Added weight inspection method for lead-acid battery tanks (see 6.2.3);

--- Increased deformation rate test method for lead-acid battery tanks (see 6.2.4);

--- Modified the internal stress principle and test procedures of lead-acid battery tanks (see 6.5, 6.7 of the 2009 version);

--- Modified the test method for iron content in lead-acid battery tanks (see 6.10, 2009 version 6.11);

--- Added inspection rules for lead-acid battery covers (see Chapter 7);

--- Modified the inspection items of lead-acid battery tanks (see 7.2, 2009 version 7.2);

--- Removed Appendix A (see Appendix A of the 2009 edition).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, and packages of lead-acid battery tanks and lead-acid battery covers, loading, transportation and storage.

This standard applies to lead-acid battery tanks and lead-acid battery covers.
