Scope
GB/T 23507.3-2017 is the English-translated version of 石油钻机用电气设备规范 第3部分：电动钻机用柴油发电机组.
GB/T 23507.3-2017 is Part 3 of the GB/T 23507 series on electrical equipment for oil drilling rigs, and it covers the diesel generating sets of electric rigs.
It states the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, storage and transport of these sets, and applies to units rated 800 kVA to 3000 kVA at 690 V, 600 V or 400 V and 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
The requirements run from the standard reference conditions and the power ratings through power correction, starting, electrical specifications, safety, pollution limits, indicating devices, economy, automatic protection, monitoring, appearance and protective measures.
Requirements for sets on offshore drilling platforms, their protection class, salt spray performance and remote control, were added in this edition. It replaces GB/T 23507.3-2009, was issued on 28 February 2017 and has applied since 1 September 2017.

Foreword
GB/T 23507 "oil rig with electrical equipment specifications" is divided into four parts.
- Part 1. Main motor;
- Part 2. Control systems;
- Part 3. Diesel generator sets for electric drilling rigs;
Part 4. Auxiliary electrical equipment and well field circuits.
This part is part 3 of GB/T 23507.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces GB/T 23507-2009 "Specification for electrical equipment for oil rigs Part 3: Diesel generators for electric drilling rigs group". Compared with GB/T 23507-2009, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- increased the offshore drilling platform with diesel generator sets technical requirements;
- modified environmental operating conditions. increased the impact of marine environmental conditions;
--- increase the marine drilling platform with diesel generator sets of protection level requirements;
--- increase the offshore drilling platform with diesel generating units salt spray performance requirements;
--- increase the technical requirements of remote control.
This part of the National Petroleum Drilling Equipment and Tools Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC96) proposed and centralized.
1 Scope
GB/T 23507 this part of the provisions of the oil and gas industry electric drill with diesel generator (hereinafter referred to as the unit) requirements, Test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage requirements.
This part is suitable for rated capacity of 800kVA ~ 3000kVA, rated voltage of 690V, 600V, 400V, rated frequency 50Hz and 60Hz electric drill with diesel generator sets. Other specifications of the electric drill with the generator can also refer to the use.
