Scope
GB/T 23457-2025 is the English-translated version of 预铺防水卷材.
GB/T 23457-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the membrane laid before the concrete is poured, so that the slab bonds to it and water cannot travel between the two - the bond strength to fresh concrete, the resistance to the pour itself, and the behaviour after a nail or a rebar chair has gone through it. Issued on 2 December 2025, it has been in force since 1 July 2026, replacing GB/T 23457-2017.

Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part
1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 23457-2017 "Pre-laid Waterproof Membranes". Compared with GB/T 23457-2017, the only changes are structural adjustments and editing. Aside from the sexual alterations, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2017 edition); (b) The terminology and definition of "pre-laid waterproof membrane" have been changed (see 3.1,.2017 edition of 3.1);
c) The term and definition of "water resistance" have been removed (see section
3.2 of the.2017 edition);
d) The categories and labels have been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 in the.2017 edition);
e) A schematic diagram of a typical product structure has been added (see 4.1);
f) Removed "Tenant strength (P-class, R-class)", "Nail shank tear strength", "Elastic recovery rate (R-class)", "Impact resistance", and "Low temperature bending performance". Requirements and test methods for "(R-type adhesive layer areas)" (see 5.3, 6.8.1, 6.9, 6.10, 6.12, and
6.15 in the.2017 edition);
g) Added the indicator for "TPO" products (see 5.3);
h) Added "Tear strength (P-type, R-type)", "Tear force (PY-type)", "Tenant settling (R-type)", and "Low temperature flexibility (R-type adhesive layer)". "Location", "Overlap seam impermeability", "Seam peel strength (heat treatment)", "Hardness", "Peel strength between adhesive backing and aluminum plate", "Water absorption rate" The indicators and test methods for "total lead content" are detailed in sections 5.3, 6.8, 6.9, 6.10, 6.15, 6.19, 6.22, 6.26, 6.27, 6.28, and 6.29.
i) The indicators and test methods for "puncture resistance", "static load resistance (Class R)" and "hot air aging" have been changed (see 5.3, 6.11,...). (6.12, 6.24;.2017 versions 5.3, 6.11, 6.13, 6.24)
j) The "Factory Inspection Items" have been changed (see 7.1.1,.2017 version of 7.1.1). Please note that some content in this document may involve patents. 3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Using plastic, rubber, or polymer-modified asphalt as the main material, the self-adhesive surface (pre-laid reverse adhesive side) is applied to the upper surface, excluding the overlapping areas of the roll material. It consists of a pre-applied anti-adhesive protective layer, a lower surface adhesive layer (if needed), and upper and lower surface isolation materials, which adhere to the post-cast concrete structure.
