1 Scope

GB/T 23192-2008 is the Chinese national standard on method for determination of starch grains in honey - count with microscope, in the field of food technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. This standard specifies the method for the determination of starch granules in honey. This standard applies to the determination of qualitative and honey counts of starch grains. This standard does not apply to honey products.

4 Reagents and materials
