1 Scope

GB/T 22838.13-2009 is the Chinese national standard on determination of physical characteristics for cigarettes and filter rods - part 13: filter rods roundness, in the field of agriculture. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 3 April 2009 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 May 2009. 5 Sampling and Sample Preparation

Acetate filter rod extraction laboratory samples according to GB/T 5605-2002 of 6.1, according to the sample preparation 5.6. Polypropylene tow filter rod extraction laboratory samples according to GB/T 15270-2001 6.2, according to the prepared sample 6.3.2.

6 Measuring step

According to GB/T 16447 samples were adjusted, and tested under the appropriate environmental conditions.
