Scope
GB/T 22693-2008 is the English-translated version of 琴键开关.
GB/T 22693-2008 is the national standard for key type switches.
Clause 1 states that it specifies the technical requirements for key switches for household and similar electrical appliances together with the corresponding test methods and inspection rules, and it draws the field of application narrowly: mechanical key switches operated by people through an actuator, used in household and similar appliances to make and break a circuit, with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V and a rated current not exceeding 10 A, in indoor and similar environments at an ambient temperature of -10 to 55 degrees Celsius that are free of corrosive and explosive gases and of conductive dust.
Clause 2 cites GB 2099.1-2008, GB/T 2828.1-2003, GB/T 2900.70-2008, GB 4208-2008, GB 4706.1-2005, GB 15092.1-2003 and GB 17196-1997.
Clause 3, Terms and Definitions, prints five entries whose term names the draft does not carry: the key component that can be touched by hand once the switch is properly installed; the kind of attached switch whose contact state is changed by pressing the button on its actuator; the rod connected to the key and driven by it to move the movable contact; the action on the button that completes the switching on or off; and the mechanism that operates the movable contact directly or indirectly.
The draft breaks off at the last of those entries. The contents page gives the rest of the standard as a clause on rating, a clause on categories, parts and marking, clause 6 on technical requirements and test methods and clause 7 on packaging, transport and storage, with Appendix A on the inspection rules informative.
The foreword states that this is the first formulation of the standard. It was issued on 2008-12-31 and has applied since 2009-11-01.
