Scope
GB/T 22638.11-2023 is the English-translated version of 铝箔试验方法 第11部分:力学性能的测试.
GB/T 22638.11-2023 is Part 11 of the Chinese GB/T 22638 series of test methods for aluminium and aluminium alloy foils, a series of eleven parts. It describes the mechanical property tests on foil: the tensile test, the cupping test and the bursting test.
It applies to measuring the room-temperature tensile properties, the cupping value and the bursting strength of aluminium foil, and fixes a test temperature of 5 °C to 35 °C. For the tensile test it requires a force-measuring system complying with GB/T 16865 and recommends a machine whose maximum load does not exceed 1000 N. It cites GB/T 4156, GB/T 8170, GB/T 16865, GB/T 22638.1 and JJG 475 among others. It was issued on 6 August 2023 and has applied since 1 March 2024.
