Scope

GB/T 26492.4-2011 is the English-translated version of 变形铝及铝合金铸锭及加工产品缺陷第4部分：铝箔缺陷.

GB/T 26492.4-2011 is Part 4 of the Chinese national standard series on defects of wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy ingots and products, dealing with aluminium foil.

It defines the common defects of wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy foils, describes their features and analyses their main causes, and applies to the analysis and determination of foil defects.

Each defect - among them rolled-in dirt and rolled-in metal, scratches, rub marks, damage, impression dents, blisters, corrosion, oil stains, broken edges and poor shape - is given with its definition, its appearance, a list of the main production causes and, for most, a reference photograph.

The other parts of GB/T 26492 cover ingots, cast-rolled strips, plates and strips, and tubes, rods, profiles and wires. Issued on 12 May 2011, in force since 1 February 2012.

- Part 1: Defects for ingots;

- Part 2: Defects for cast-rolled strips;

- Part 5: Defects for tubes, rods, profiles and wires.

This part is Part 4 of GB/T 26492.
