Scope

GB/T 22436-2008 is the English-translated version of 摩托车和轻便摩托车轮毂安装尺寸系列.

This standard fixes the series of mounting dimensions for the wheel hubs of motorcycles and mopeds.

Clause 1 states that it specifies the brake drum dimension series for drum brakes, the threaded hole series for disc brakes, the wheel bearing hole series, the spline parameters for spline drive and the hub mounting dimension series, and that it applies to the wheels of all types of motorcycles and mopeds, among them light-alloy wheels and spoked wheels.

Clause 3 carries two definitions whose term names the draft does not print: one the intermediate part of the wheel, on which the axle parts, the brake and the transmission are installed, the other the dimension of the part of the hub that has to fit other parts during assembly.

Clause 4 classifies the hubs by the type of brake on the motorcycle wheel into drum brake hubs and disc brake hubs.

It then splits the drum brake hubs into four forms, a front wheel mounting dimension series and three rear wheel hub series, one with a sprocket drive and a mounted buffer block, one with a sprocket drive and a buffer sleeve and one with a splined drive, and the disc brake hubs into two, a front wheel series and a rear wheel hub series; the draft breaks off there.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 1801 on limits, tolerances and fits, and GB/T 3478.1, GB/T 3478.3 and GB/T 3478.4 on straight cylindrical involute splines, the first for modules, basic rack profiles and tolerances and the other two for the 37.5 degree and 45 degree pressure angle dimension tables.

The foreword states that Annexes A and B are normative, that the standard was proposed by the National Development and Reform Commission and that it falls to the National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the motorcycles and brake drum brake drum size series, disc brake threaded hole series, wheel bearings Hole Series, spline drive spline parameters and hub dimensions series.

This standard applies to all types of motorcycles and mopeds Wheels (such as light-alloy wheels, spoked wheels, disc wheel spoke) with wheels.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

3.1
