Foreword

GB/T 21711 "Basic Electromechanical Relay" is currently divided into the following sections.

--- Part 1. General and safety requirements;

--- Part 2. Reliability;

--- Part 7. Test and measurement procedures.

This part is the seventh part of GB/T 21711.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This section uses the translation method equivalent to IEC 61810-7.2006 "Basic Electromechanical Relays Part 7. Test and Measurement Procedures".

The documents of our country that have a consistent correspondence with the international documents referenced in this part are as follows.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Relay type

3.1.1

Electromechanical relay electromechanicalrelay

An electrical relay that primarily produces a predetermined response to the motion of a mechanical component.

An electrical relay that is energized by a certain amount of excitation whose value is within its operating value range or is actually zero.

Monostable relay monostablerelay

An electrical relay that responds to an excitation quantity and has converted its state. When the excitation amount is removed, it returns to its original state.

3.2.3

RTII solder resist relay fluxproofrelay

A relay that can be automatically soldered without removing flux outside the predetermined area.

Note. If closed structure is used, it can be exchanged with the outside atmosphere.

3.2.4

RTIII washable relay washtightrelay

A relay that automatically welds and is then subjected to a cleaning process to remove flux residues without the need to impregnate flux or cleaning agent.

Note. In practice, such relays are sometimes connected to the atmosphere after the soldering or cleaning process.

3.2.5

RTIV sealed relay sealedrelay

A relay with a casing that does not leak into the outside atmosphere has a time constant better than 2 x 104 s (see GB/T 2423.23-2013).

3.2.6

RTV hermetic relay hermeticalysealedrelay

Sealed relays with a high seal rating guarantee a time constant of better than 2 x 106s (see GB/T 2423.23-2013).

3.3 Relay function

3.3.1

Release state releasecondition

For monostable relays, the specified state for de-energizing; for bistable relays, one of the specified states declared by the manufacturer.

For a monostable relay, a specified state for which it is energized and responded by a specified excitation amount; for a bistable relay, a statement for the manufacturer

The specification usage value is determined by a specified set of operating conditions of the relay.
