This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 21644-2008 "General Requirements for Online Distance Education Platforms". Compared with GB/T 21644-2008, except for the conclusion... Aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Terms and definitions have been removed (see Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition);

b) The chapter on abbreviations has been removed (see Chapter 4 of the.2008 edition);

c) The overview has been revised (see Chapter 4, Chapter 5 in the.2008 edition);

d) Increased application scenarios (see Chapter 5);

e) The functional architecture was changed (see Chapter 6,

6.1 of the.2008 edition);

f) Additional functional requirements have been added (see Chapter 7);

g) Network requirements have been changed (see Chapter 8,

6.5 of the.2008 edition);

h) Added security and copyright protection requirements (see Chapter 9);

This document describes the application scenarios of the online distance education platform and specifies its functional architecture, functional requirements, and network requirements. Requirements, security and copyright protection requirements, platform management requirements, and performance requirements. This document applies to the planning, design, construction, implementation, and application of online distance education platforms.

4 Overview

Online distance education involves multimedia communication between learners and teaching resources located in two or more places. The format is similar to traditional educational methods such as centralized lectures, individual tutoring, self-study, and multi-role/group learning. Online distance education The platform's users may include learners, education providers (including instructors, academic administrators, and educational resource managers), and education regulators. Users can access the device anytime, anywhere, using a computer, personal digital assistant, smartphone, or even a television with a set-top box. Terminals can access the network-based distance education platform using fixed or mobile methods.

5.1 Learner Application Scenarios

5.1.1 Real-time Remote Learning Application Scenarios Real-time remote learning applications include, but are not limited to, the following aspects.

a) Formal Degree Study. Learners participate in courses in virtual, face-to-face classrooms with certificates issued by appropriate institutions, and obtain formal degrees. Bachelor of Science.

b) Remote participation in in-person classroom learning. When learners are unable to attend the classroom due to illness or other reasons, they can temporarily participate in formal virtual face-to-face learning. Classroom teaching. Students participating in virtual face-to-face classroom teaching can watch and participate in the same activities simultaneously with learners in a physical classroom. Unlike offline learners, the learning activities at this course take place remotely rather than in a classroom.

c) Attending public lectures. Learners who are unable to attend public lectures in person may attend them remotely.
