Scope

GB/T 21361-2017 is the English-translated version of 汽车用空调器.

GB/T 21361-2017 is the Chinese national standard for motor vehicle air-conditioning units, meaning the refrigerating assembly of compressor, condenser, throttling element, evaporator, fan and control units that conditions the air inside a vehicle.

It fixes the terms and definitions, the models and basic parameters, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the rules for marking, packaging, transport and storage.

The requirements cover components and materials, structure, assembly and performance, among them air-tightness, running behaviour, refrigerating capacity, air flow rate, refrigeration coefficient of performance, noise, vibration and electrical safety.

Four appendices give the test methods for refrigerating capacity, noise and vibration, and for measuring refrigerating capacity where the unit is in use. It replaces GB/T 21361-2008, was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.
