Scope
GB/T 2032-2018 is the English-translated version of 船用法兰消火栓.
GB/T 2032-2018 is the Chinese standard for flanged fire hydrants used on ships, with flange connection dimensions and sealing faces to GB/T 2501 or CB/T 4196.
It covers classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage, and applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of hydrants for freshwater and seawater fire-fighting piping.
Four types are defined: straight-through types AS and A and right-angle types BS and B, depending on which flange standard is followed, and the basic parameters are given in a table.
Compared with the 1993 edition it changes the nominal pressures, adds stainless steel hydrants and adds a back-seat sealing structure for hydrants working at 3.0 MPa.
It replaces GB/T 2032-1993, was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 2032-1993 "Marine flange fire hydrant". This standard is compared with GB/T 2032-1993, the main changes as follows.
--- Modified the nominal pressure (see Table 1);
--- Added stainless steel fire hydrant (see 4.1.1);
--- The working pressure is 3.0 MPa. The fire hydrant adds an inverted seal structure (see 3.3.3).
1 Scope
This standard specifies the flange flange size and sealing surface of the ship flange fire hydrant according to GB/T 2501, CB/T 4196 (below Classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage.
This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of fire hydrants for freshwater and seawater fire protection pipeline systems.

3 Classification and marking
3.1 Type
The type of fire hydrant is specified as follows.
AS type---Flange connection size conforms to GB/T 2501 straight-through type fire hydrant.
Type A---Flange connection size conforms to CB/T 4196 straight-through type fire hydrant.
BS type---Flange connection size conforms to the right angle type fire hydrant of GB/T 2501.
Type B---Flange connection size conforms to CB/T 4196 right angle type fire hydrant.
